Formation of general professional competence future sports doctors in the system of additional education

Objective of the study was to study the process of formation and analysis of the dynamics of changes in general professional competence of students studying in the specialty "General Medicine" when mastering the additional general education program "Sports doctor" within the framework of university and secondary vocational education.
Methods and structure of the study. The research work was carried out at the Bunin Yelets State University and Yelets Medical College named after K.S. Konstantinova. The study involved 50 students studying in the specialty " General Medicine". The proposed program of courses of the additional general education program "Sports Doctor" included topics related to sports traumatology and biomechanics, sports physiology and pharmacological support for an athlete, taking into account compliance with anti-doping rules, emergency care and rehabilitation of athletes after training and competition.
Results and conclusions. The data obtained in the course of the study indicate that the formation of general professional competence among students studying in the specialty "General Medicine" has a positive dynamics of changes when mastering the additional general education program "Sports Doctor" within the framework of university and secondary vocational education.
