Objective of the study was to substantiate and develop blocks of artificial and natural obstacles in the physical training of cadets of the fire and rescue academy and test their effectiveness in a pedagogical experiment.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved first-year cadets of the Fire and Rescue Academy in the amount of 50 people (25 cadets of the experimental group, 25 cadets of the control group). Control group was engaged during the school year in the traditional program, and artificial and natural obstacles were used in the physical training of the cadets of the experimental group. During the school year, the content and filling of artificial and natural obstacles was adjusted. At the end of the school year, final testing of the physical fitness of cadets of the experimental and control groups was carried out.
Results and conclusions. The study made it possible to develop and adapt blocks of artificial and natural obstacles in the following areas of physical training: general endurance, strength endurance, speed endurance, mobility of the musculoskeletal system, formation of dexterity and coordination in cadets, a complex obstacle course for the general physical fitness of cadets of the academy. The physical fitness scores of cadets in the experimental group were 16.2% higher on average (P<0.05) than in the control group. At the same time, physical training classes for cadets using various obstacles were held at a high emotional level, interestingly, and the cadets were engaged with desire.
