Objective of the study was to develop a model of the training process for hockey players aged 8-9 years based on the integration of means of special physical and technical training.
Methods and structure of the study. The pedagogical experiment involved young hockey players 8-9 years old, studying at the «Avangard» hockey club (n=60), who were divided into control and experimental groups. In the experimental group, training programs were used, in which the selection of training means provided for the conjugated development of motor abilities and mastering the technique of movement on skates. Young hockey players of the control group conducted training sessions according to the generally accepted training program provided for by the federal standard.
Research results and conclusions. At the end of the pedagogical experiment, hockey players of the experimental group showed significant increases in results according to Student's t-criterion (p≤0.05) in tests that reflect special physical fitness: "shuttle run 9-18-9 meters", "run 36 meters backwards "," slalom skating without a puck. According to the Mann-Whitney test (p≤0.05), there were significant differences in the results in test exercises evaluating the technique of movement on skates: "Moving forward/backward without changing the direction of movement" - an assessment of balance, in the test "Wide gliding step" - length step, saving the trajectory of movement. The scientifically substantiated model of planning the training process made it possible to streamline various means of special physical training in a small cycle, which ensured high growth rates in tests that reflect special physical fitness.
