Abstract
Objective of the study was to determine the accessibility of adaptive physical education and sports activities to people with disabilities in Primorsky Krai.
Methods and structure of the study. The study included an analysis of scientific and specialized literature and official sources for statistical data on Primorsky Krai for the 2018/2019 period.
Results and conclusions. The analysis results showed that the amount of funds set aside for the development of the adaptive physical culture and sports sector in Primorsky Krai increased from 144.5 million rubles to 173 million rubles, which indicates a 16.47% increase.
With the increase in funding in Primorsky Krai, there is a significant increase in the number of specialists with no actual designing of the educational programs. In 2019, the number of specialists was 69, i.e. 21.74% more than in 2018. This may be due to the development of additional professional academic programs in higher education institutions of the region.
The authors conclude that, despite the increase in the amount of funds set aside for the development of the adaptive physical culture and sports sector in Primorsky Krai and in the number of those involved, the number of sports facilities is sharply decreasing. To involve the population in adaptive physical education and sports activities, it is proposed to increase the number of specialists in this sector.
