Abstract
Objective of the study was to identify the attitudes of coaches-instructors of the Sports School Of Olympic Reserve for Track-And-Field Athletics to professional activities.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was conducted in the period from January through December 2020 and included a survey of more than 30 coaches-instructors of the Sports School of Olympic Reserve in Krasnoyarsk. The questionnaire survey form offered the following questions: "Do you engage in professional self-improvement?", "What training methods do you use in your professional activities?", "What would you like to hear on the Advanced Training Faculty?", "How do you motivate your trainees to practice sports?", "State of the material and technical base of your sports school of Olympic reserve", "Are you satisfied with the activities of the Russian Athletics Federation and the system of athletic training in the country?", "Do you have a mind to change profession?", "What would you like to wish your colleagues?".
The study also included follow-up interviews regarding the questionnaire, perspectives and plans for further professional activities.
Results and conclusions. The questionnaire survey of the track-and-filed coaches-instructors showed that effective professional activities of the specialists in this field require scientific and methodological support and modern logistics. As part of the study, we proposed the organizational and methodological measures to raise the level of pedagogical excellence of track-and-field coaches-instructors.
