Abstract
Objective of the study was to seek effective ways to improve sports results in bobsleigh sport based on the classification of special technical devices in bobsleigh racer training using an acceleration track with a bob simulator as an example.
Methods and structure of the study. The study included an analysis of scientific and methodological literature devoted to the use of training simulators in various sports. The main research was aimed at studying the general classification of training simulators, simulator-based systems, athletic training systems in different sports, as well as at identifying the classification characteristics of special technical devices that can be used in the process of training of high-skilled bobsleigh racers. The empirical research was aimed at defining the intent of the developed and modernized special training device "acceleration track with a bob simulator" and at classifying the given device according to its characteristics described in the study.
Results and conclusions. The study presents the general classification of sports simulators and the classification of the special technical device "acceleration track with a bob simulator" for athletic training in general and bobsleigh racer training in particular.
