Abstract
Objective of the study was to identify factors that can mitigate the consequences of COVID-19 in students.
Methods and structure of the study. The work was attended by 144 1st-3rd year students of the Moscow City Pedagogical University aged 17 to 22 who had recovered from the coronavirus infection. The first part of the study was a questionnaire to determine the subjective assessment of health and was aimed at identifying signs of asthenia (chronic fatigue). In addition, data were collected on the state of general well-being after illness with a certain regularity of sports.
Results and conclusions. It has been proven that regular physical education and sports are a factor that eliminates one of the most common symptoms of post-COVID syndrome - asthenia. If we organize the conditions under which students will go in for sports three times a week and more often, then an opportunity is created to significantly affect their level of health.

Keywords: physical culture, students, post-COVID syndrome, regular sports, asthenia.
