Teaching a professional foreign language to students of higher education institutions of physical culture

Abstract
Objective of the study was to identify the conditions for teaching a professional foreign language in a sports university.
Methods and structure of the study. The formation of organizational and pedagogical conditions was carried out for the training of second-year students of the training direction "Physical culture", undergraduates and graduate students of the 1st and 2nd courses of various areas of training of Russian State University of Physical Education, Sports, Youth and Tourism (RSUPESY&T).
Results and conclusions. The authors point out that the study of a professional foreign language in the universities of physical culture and sports is of great importance. It is determined by the need to speak a foreign language for the professional activities of an athlete, coach, sports functionary in the course of their communication with colleagues during international competitions, scientific and practical conferences, round tables, business correspondence with international sports organizations. The article is devoted to the problems of teaching a professional foreign language to students of higher educational institutions of physical culture and sports. The main difficulties faced by teachers and students in the learning process are considered. The ultimate goal of training is the preparation of highly qualified specialists in their field, capable of the functional use of a foreign language in various fields of activity in accordance with international standards and requirements. Considerable attention in the learning process is paid to the use of authentic audio and video materials, which can later become the basis for speaking.
