To study the features of the manifestation of mental and behavioral reactions allowed by volleyball players as a result of the impact on them of confounding factors, a profiled-adapted questionnaire "Confounding factors as a cause of negative mental and behavioral reactions of a volleyball player" was used. The subjects were asked to determine for themselves and list the specific negative consequences of the influence of confounding factors on them from their own sports experience, described in the questions. The study involved 28 test subjects – players of the women's and men's national volleyball teams RSUPESY&T (SCOLIPE), the main contingent of the studied players has the qualification of masters of sports and candidates for master of sports.
Results and conclusions. The influence of confounding factors on an athlete is carried out primarily through the emotional sphere, sometimes causing negative experiences, which in turn leads to a decrease in the effectiveness of technical and tactical actions. The results of the study can significantly help coaches in planning and conducting the training process of volleyball players, which aspects of the psychological preparation of volleyball players should be given special attention.
