Bowling sport in academic physical education system

Abstract
Objective of the study was to develop practical guidelines for a bowling sport model as complementary to the academic physical education curriculum.
Methods and structure of the study. Based on analysis of the bowling sport theory and practice and bowling sport model piloting experience in the academic physical education system, we developed practical guidelines for the bowling sport model as complementary to the academic optional physical education curriculum of 328 hours with the relevant theoretical, practical and progress test provisions.
Results and conclusion. We developed an institutional and didactic basis for the bowling sport model as complementary to the academic optional physical education curriculum, with the relevant progress facilitating tools, competitions and staged progress test benchmarks to rate the trainees’ practical skills and experiences at every training stage. The bowling sport model may be recommended as a training algorithm for implementation of bowling sport in the academic physical education service.
