3X3 basketball techniques and tactics training model for sports-unrelated universities

Abstract
Objective of the study was to analyze benefits of a 3x3 basketball technical and tactical training modular technology for the sports-unrelated universities.
Methods and structure of the study. We tested the 3x3 basketball model at Omsk State Technical University, with the technical fitness progress rated by the tests mimicking real competitive skills as close as possible.
Results and conclusion. The 3x3 basketball model piloting academic experiment showed benefits of prudently designed and managed 3x3 group trainings within the academic physical education classes combined with the extracurricular trainings, as verified by the progress of the sample in the harmonized development of every key muscle group, joint motility, improvements in the musculoskeletal and cardiovascular system functionalities, respiratory functions and metabolism, with special benefits for the complex movement coordination skills – conditional on the group trainings making a due emphasis on the key technical skills and individual progresses.
