Objective of the study was to identification of prospects for the development of water parks in the implementation of sports, recreational and recreational tasks of the population in the region.
Methods and structure of the study. From January to March 2020, a sociological study was conducted in the form of a survey of visitors to water parks in the cities of Omsk and Moscow (628 respondents) to study consumer demand, preferences and the quality of services provided.
Results and conclusions. Water parks are very popular and in demand for the implementation of sports, recreational and recreational tasks of the population. Most respondents indicated that they prefer the water park over the open natural waters of the region for safety reasons. 73% of survey participants noted that the water park is the most preferred option for a family vacation compared to visiting a pool or a natural reservoir. Comparing the prices for wellness visits to the pool (free swimming mode) and the water park, 74% of respondents will prefer the water park.
The authors conclude about the effectiveness of combining water parks with a sports and recreation complex, an entertainment center, a cinema, a beauty center, a hotel and a recreation center. The interaction of authorities, sports federations with water parks is mutually beneficial (business owners receive additional benefits, and authorities solve problems to achieve indicators of the social development of society). Cooperation between the authorities and the owners of the aqua business is possible through the developed targeted programs for the implementation of subsidies for the implementation of state and municipal tasks.
