Objective of the study was to substantiate and test the effectiveness of the physical training methodology, built on the basis of modern fitness programs and breathing programs to maintain the mental performance of future customs service specialists.
Methods and structure of the study. The scientific experiment was attended by 50 students of St. Petersburg. V.B. Bobkov branch of the Russian Customs Academy. As part of the study, the influence of regular physical education using sets of exercises from modern fitness programs (Pilates, stretching, BodyBalance, Flex) and breathing practices on the mental performance of those involved was studied. To assess mental performance, correction tables (Landolt rings) and a test of mental performance and stress tolerance were used.
Results and conclusions. The analysis of the results obtained during the experiment showed the dynamics of reducing mental fatigue after small loads, as well as the possibility of maintaining a high level of both physical and mental performance with the regularity and variety of the proposed physical exercises. It has been established that classes according to the program of experimental methods of physical training cause both an urgent effect and a cumulative (delayed) effect of increasing fitness.
