Students’ basic sports competency tests within physical education curriculum

Objective of the study was to test vocational sports competences of the sports bachelors majoring in Vocational Sports Training Theory and Practice at sport universities, and offer a Physical Education curriculum update version.
Methods and structure of the study. The vocational sports competences testing experiment was designed to rate compliance of the bachelor competences with the new Federal State Education Standard for 49.03.04 Sport discipline.
Results and conclusion. The tests of the vocational sports competencies of the sports bachelors majoring in the Vocational Sports Training Theory and Practice at sport universities showed a few drawbacks in the general vocational competences. This was the reason for us to recommend the valid regular Physical Education curricula being updated to improve the training standard in 49.03.04 Sport discipline.
