Objective of the study was to test and analyze motor skills / intellectual qualities correlations in the 12-21 year-old male groups.
Methods and structure of the study. We sampled for the study in 2007 through 2019 the 12, 14 and 16 year-old males from Lyceum No. 149 in Omsk (n=87, 78 and 104, respectively), plus the 18 and 21 year-old students of Siberian State Automobile and Highway University (n=159 and 53, respectively). The pre- and post-experimental motor skills / intellectual qualities tests were run in September and May, respectively, to rate the age group progresses.
Results and conclusion. The study found the motor skills / intellectual qualities progress being correlated and age-specific. The 12 year-olds were tested with mostly positive motor skills / intellectual qualities correlations, whilst the 14+ year-olds showed dominance of the negative correlations. The study findings give grounds to recommend special attention to synergized motor skills / intellectual qualities progress in the 14+ year-old male groups.
