Objective of the study was to analyze the young people’s physical development progress trends worldwide in the late XX to early XXI century.
Methods and structure of the study. We used for the purposes of the study downloads from the Scopus database and national citation databases.
Results and conclusion. Having analyzed the empirical global statistical data, we found the young people’s physical development somatometry growth trend with acceleration (earlier puberty) for the study period. The centennial physical development trend is defined herein as the average body size and shape (anthropometric characteristics) variation profile from generation to generation. The centennial physical development trend analysis factored in the locations and timeframes of the physical development transformations, plus their vectors, paces, intensities and harmonization degrees.

Keywords: centennial trend, acceleration, physical development.
