Objective of the study was to develop and test by experiment the effectiveness of the methodology for improving judokas’ overall physical fitness at the beginner training stage.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was carried out at the premises of the Municipal Autonomous Sports Institution "Sports School of Olympic Reserve "Berezniki" (Berezniki city) and lasted 4 months – from November 2019 through February 2020. Subject to the experiment were 30 judokas aged 7-8 years.
Results and conclusions. The experimental methodology included the following training methods aimed to improve the overall physical fitness of the judokas from the beginner training group: exercise execution techniques (uniform, variable, repeated, interval), training methods (round, competitive, game-like), strength training methods (non-maximal efforts, dynamic efforts, isometric), condition methods (complication or simplification of the conditions). The Experimental Group judokas’ overall physical fitness was improved through the exercises and training tasks in various areas: track and field athletics, gymnastics, acrobatics, body-weight moves and resistance exercises, simulator exercises, relay, action and sports games.
The subjects’ overall physical fitness rates and experimental methodology efficiency were tested in 8 overall physical fitness tests selected from the Federal Standard for judo for 7-10 year-old boys from initial training groups and All-Russian Physical Education and Sports "Ready for Labor and Defense" (GTO) standards for 6-8 year-old boys.
