Comparative analysis of recreational effects of various types of motor activity on students’ psycho-emotional state

Objective of the study was to conduct a comparative analysis of the recreational effects of various types of motor activity implemented under the elective physical education and sports course on the psycho-emotional state of university students.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out at the Physical Education Department of the Saratov State University in the 2020/2021 academic year. The WAM questionnaire (well-being, activity, mood (V.A. Doskin, N.A. Lavrentyeva, etc.) was used to assess the students’ psycho-emotional state. The ascertaining experiment involved the 2nd-year students trained under the elective physical education and sports course involving various types of motor activity. The first area of research was the analysis of changes in the students’ psycho-emotional state throughout the semester, the second one – identification of the recreational potential of various types of motor activity.
Results and conclusions. The analysis of the recreational potential of various types of motor activity implemented at the university under the elective physical education and sports course revealed different effects on the psycho-emotional state of the students, which necessitates mutual conversion of the training means and methods.
