Simulation exercises to excel "ystanga" jump technique

Objective of the study was to improve special physical fitness of students practicing Yakut jumps "ystanga" by means of the specially selected simulation exercises introduced in the athletic training process.
Methods and structure of the study. The study included a questionnaire survey of 10 coaches and 10 highly-skilled athletes specializing in Yakut national jumps. Based on the survey results, we selected exercises to develop special physical fitness in the "ystanga" jump technique. The effects of these exercises on the development of special physical fitness of the students engaged in "ystanga" were evaluated during the educational experiment conducted at the premises of Ammosov North-Eastern Federal University. Subject to the experiment were 20 students having the sports qualification of Class III athletes in Yakut jumps, who were divided into two identical groups – Control and Experimental Group. The subjects’ special physical fitness level was evaluated in the following tests: 7-mark "ystanga" jumps and 3x3 combined jumps (us togul us).
Results and conclusions. The educational experiment showed that the selected simulation exercises positively affect the development of special physical fitness of students practicing "ystanga" jumps. It is recommended to perform simulation exercises prior to the competitive "ystanga" jump. It is also recommended to use these exercises at all stages of athletic training.
