Introduction. In game sports, characterized by motor and psychological complexity in training and competitive activities, the role of the psychophysical status of the athlete is especially important [1].
The aim of the study is to identify the psychophysical characteristics of young football players.
Methodology and organization of the study. The study involved 73 male football players of two age groups. The first group included 35 people 7-8 years old, the second – 38 people 9-10 years old. All the children who took part in the study regularly play sports in the secondary school "Rotor" in Volgograd. To study the properties of the nervous system according to psychomotor parameters, a tapping test was used. Testing was carried out on a personal computer using the software package "Longitudinal-EDK". Analysis of the results-according to the method of E. N. Ilyin [1].
The results of the study and their discussion. The predominant type of nervous system in each age group is descending (67% in the younger age group and 50% in the older group of children). At the same time, it was revealed that the descending type of the nervous system is more common in children of the younger age group (67%) in comparison with the older age group (50%). The second most common type is the intermediate type of the nervous system, which occurs in children aged 7-8 years in 15% of cases, and in 28% of cases in the group of 9-10 years. This type of nervous system can be described as medium-weak. The convex type of motion dynamics is relatively rare. This type of nervous system was demonstrated by boys of the older age group in 8% of cases, and the younger age group-in 3%, respectively, and indicates the presence of a strong nervous system in the subject. Among children of the initial training group, the convex type of the curve is more common (8%) in comparison with children of the sports and recreation group (3%). Concave and smooth types of the nervous system are also quite rare, with the distribution by age group being approximately the same. Concave type was registered in 6% and 4%, smooth type-in 9% and 10% in the sports and recreation group and the initial physical training group, respectively. These types are characteristic of the medium-weak nervous system.
Conclusion. In the process of sports improvement, the strength and endurance of the nervous system increase. During the training process, it is necessary to take into account the psychophysical characteristics of young athletes and dose the load in accordance with the age and capabilities of those involved.
