Objective of the study was to determine individual differences in the subjective control of female Paralympic athletes.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved the 21-25 year-old female athletes with locomotor disorders (n=8), who had different skill levels and different sports experience in track and field athletics. A test-questionnaire on the level of subjective control (E.F. Bazhin, E.A. Golynkina, A.M. Etkind) was used for the study purposes. According to the authors, the vector of the subjective control varies in each person and is expressed in the general internality level, which is made up of the following indicators: achievements (success); failure; family relationships; professional relationships; interpersonal relationships; health level.
Results of the study and conclusions. The findings showed that the female Paralympic athletes were predominately characterized by an internal level of control in terms of achievements, which increased with the improvement of sports skills. At the same time, the lowest values were observed in terms of the health level, thus indicating that health is not a key factor in lowering of the subjective control level in this group. There was a positive trend in the impact of sports activities on the internality level in terms of interpersonal and family relationships, which proves the importance of sports activities in the development of proactive strategies of behavior for girls with special needs.

Keywrods: Paralympic sports, female Paralympic athletes, subjective control level.
