Model physical fitness characteristics of primary schoolchildren as specific focus in preschool physical education

Objective of the present study was to develop model characteristics of physical fitness for primary school children in order to develop the program content of proactive physical training of preschoolers.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out in the period from September 2019 through May 2020 at the premises of the Krasnoyarsk General Education School No. 150 and involved 300 1st-4th graders. We tested the subjects’ physical fitness level at the beginning (September) and at the end of the school year (May).
Results of the study and conclusions. As part of the study, we developed the model characteristics of physical fitness of primary schoolchildren. The model characteristics of physical fitness of primary schoolchildren form a model of physical fitness of primary school children, which serves as a guide for the physical education of children in a given age period.
The authors conclude that the model characteristics of physical fitness of primary school children are deemed a specific focus for the proactive training of preschoolers for the forthcoming schooling.
