Functional training exercises in dance sports training process

Introduction. Currently, in dance sports, the complexity of performing a competitive composition has increased significantly. athletes during the competition must go to the site several times and demonstrate a high level of sportsmanship. the question arises about the use of new tools and methods in the training process.
the aim of the study is to develop a set of functional training exercises for use in the training process in dance sports.
Methodology and organization of the study. In the course of the study, two experimental complexes of functional training were developed. In order to prevent athletes from adapting to exercise, the complexes were changed after two weeks for two months. The developed sets of functional training exercises were used at the end of the main part of the training session.
The results of the study and their discussion. Functional training is a new and promising direction that can be used in the training of athletes in almost any sport [1]. A distinctive feature of functional training is that the movements used in training imitate everyday movements, so you can increase the level of development of basic physical qualities.
Each complex consisted of blocks, each with 4 exercises. Each exercise was performed in 3 rounds: first round – 1 min, the second circle 45, the third 30 s. The working time of one block is 11: 45. Rest time between blocks is 2-4 minutes.
Complex # 1-squats, plank on straight arms, lunges, swings.
Complex # 2-push-ups through the wave, twisting with legs raised at the top, lifting opposite arms and legs at a pace, running with alternating legs apart-legs together.
Conclusion. When applying functional training exercises in the training process of athletes engaged in dance sports, you need to follow the following rule – increase the dosage and complicate the exercise gradually.
