Objective of the study was to identify the effectiveness of the of strength endurance building methodology in application to female university students majoring in civil engineering.
Methods and structure of the study. The educational experiment was conducted during the 2019/2020 academic year and involved the first-year female civil engineering department students assigned to the main health group who had no restrictions on physical education and sports activities. They were split into the Experimental and Control Groups, 20 people each. The Experimental Group subjects were trained in accordance with the developed strength endurance building methodology for female students, which was based on the strength endurance building methods that included static and dynamic exercises organized in blocks. The Control Group subjects were trained according to the standard physical education program.
Results and conclusions. The study showed that the presented methodology is beneficial for the development of the physical quality of strength endurance which is important for a civil engineer. As part of the study, the authors assessed the effectiveness of the developed methodology, the level of strength endurance - the key professional physical quality for the future professional activity, benefits of the proposed exercises included in the training program for the quality of development of strength endurance.
The presented methodology is particularly effective in application to large groups due to the applied progressive method of organization of training sessions, which saves the academic time, increases the volume of physical exercise and physical loads, ensures the continuity and integrity of education, as well as high educational and motor density.
