Practice-oriented training of physical education teacher to build preteens’ social interaction competences

Objective of the study was to develop and substantiate a supplementary general education program for future physical education teachers aimed to build the social interaction competences in preteens during extracurricular sports and fitness activities.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out in two stages. At the first stage the authors substantiated the level of prior studies of the problem, identified the main theoretical and methodological provisions, and formulated the main provisions of the study concept. At the second stage the authors developed and tested the supplementary general education program for future physical education teachers aimed to build the social interaction competence in preteens during extracurricular sports and fitness activities. The study was carried out on the basis of the Scientific Practical Center of Physical Culture and Wellness with 45 students majoring in Pedagogical Education (44.03.01), Physical Education specialization involved in the study.
Results and conclusions. The introduction of the supplementary education program "Technology of Formation of Social Interaction Competence in Preteens during Extracurricular Sports and Fitness Activities" backed by the practice-oriented training enables would-be physical education teachers, on the one hand, to successfully solve professional tasks, and on the other - to effectively build the social interaction competence in preteens during Extracurricular Sports and Fitness Activities.
