Objective of the study was to scientifically substantiate the educational system of formation of the leading activity style as a factor of development of athlete’s integral individuality.
Results and conclusions. It is shown that the individual style of sports activity is the main link that mediates the relationships between the features in the structure of integrated activity. It was found that individual styles of motor, will, and emotional activity can be the leading systemic factors in the development of integral individuality. The individual style of motor activity mediates the nature of relationships between the features of the nervous system and temperament. Different styles of will activity mediate specific relationships between the features of the nervous system and personality (natural and social), thus contributing to the harmonization of an athlete’s holistic individuality. Among the significant factors considered to be peculiar styles of emotional activity, are: joyous excitement and confidence in achieving the set goal, anxious joy and striving for perfection, aggressive emotional activity. It is noted that in all cases, different styles within the activity are determined by different complexes of symptoms of various personality traits of an athlete.
The authors propose psychological support to optimize athletes’ pre-start conditions.
