Introduction. Currently, the modernization of physical culture and sports practice in the education system is being carried out, and therefore an innovative direction is proposed – sportization of physical education, which is understood as the active use of sports activities in the pedagogical process [2].
The purpose of the study is to identify and describe the idea of the success of sports activities in athletes engaged in different sports.
Methodology and organization of the study. The following methods were used in the study of 60 men and women of adolescent (15 years), youth and Mature age, who have the title of candidate master of sports and master of sports, who are engaged in various sports: an associative experiment with subsequent content analysis, a phenomenological study, and a semi-structured interview [1].
The results of the study and their discussion. The results of the phenomenological research have shown that the concept of "success of sports activity" is represented in the minds of candidates and masters of sports in two categories: objective and subjective indicators of success. According to the subjects, the group of objective indicators is represented by performance, stability of the result, the presence of a title, the level of the event in which the athlete participates, the athlete's rating, the presence of authority, and the achievement of goals set jointly with the coach. The category "subjective indicators of success" includes: satisfaction with your results, concentration, pleasure from sports activities. No currently accepted definition of the concept of success in sports activity covers the entire range of these characteristics.
