Introduction.Modern research in the field of sports traumatology has revealed a direct relationship between chronic microtraumas and a number of injuries and diseases of the muscles and myoenthetic apparatus, among which the most common are: subcutaneous muscle injuries; muscle diseases, diseases of the myoenthetic apparatus [1]. In this context, research on the percentage of various injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system associated with chronic microtraumas that subsequently require long-term inpatient or outpatient treatment is of particular interest.
The aim of the study is to analyze the frequency of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system that may be associated with chronic microtraumas.
Methodology and organization of the study. The study was conducted at the Rotor Academy in Volgograd. We have studied the medical records of the players of the football school of the Academy "Rotor" in 2003-2004. birth to identify the most common injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system that could be triggered by chronic microtraumas. The study involved 50 people.
The results of the study and their discussion. It was revealed that among acute injuries, the largest percentage is damage to the meniscus of the knee joint and the capsular ligamentous apparatus of the joints, among chronic diseases, joint diseases (chronic microtraumatization of the ligaments, meniscopathies, bursitis) are in the first place. Chronic diseases of the muscles, tendons (along their length and at the point of attachment to the bone), diseases of the periosteum, spine, including osteochondrosis, spondylosis and spondyloarthritis, are also often found in athletes.
Conclusion. Chronic microtrauma can be the cause of serious injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system of athletes. Accordingly, it is necessary to study more thoroughly the mechanisms of obtaining, causes and consequences of chronic microtraumas, as well as to develop an effective system for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of sports microtraumas, which will allow avoiding serious pathologies of the musculoskeletal system in athletes in the future.
