Objective of the study was to develop and test by experiment the sports training system for elite Para athletes with musculoskeletal disorders.
Methods and structure of the study. A range of modern methods was applied during the study: pedagogical methods, including the analysis and generalization of the author’s experience as a manager of the Interdisciplinary Research Team of the Russian national team, pedagogical testing, ascertaining and formative educational experiments; molecular genetic testing; biochemical testing; biomechanical analysis.
Results of the study and conclusions. The sports training system consists of the interacting and complementary components - purpose, content, monitoring, rational periodization, organizational forms of the training sessions. The developed system implies that the main features of sports for disabled athletes that involve specific sports equipment are contained in the content of the sports training system, which includes physical, technical, tactical, theoretical, psychological, technical-design, integrated trainings based on special principles - consideration and leveling of nosological features (identification and consideration of movement possibilities, continuous modernization and maximum use of special technical means). The Experimental Group consisted of the Russian national team members (n=21), who were trained for the 2016 Paralympic Games. The experimental substantiation of the developed sports training system in the studied disciplines led to an increase in the level of sports results in important competitions.
