Objective of the study was to determine the factors of emotional burnout in work of rhythmic gymnastics coaches.
Methods and structure of the study. The psychodiagnostic part of the study involved the standard WAM (well-being, activity, mood) tests and MBI as amended by N.E. Vodopyanova, as well as the author’s questionnaire. The Mann-Whitney U-criterion was used for statistical processing of the data obtained. The WAM test results indicated similar conditions in coaches with different work experience and low health self-assessment rats (n=23). The MBI test data corresponded to the average level of emotional burnout. The author’s questionnaire enabled to identify the main factors influencing the coaches' emotional burnout (n=28).
Results of the study and conclusions. Proceeding from the results obtained, the authors highlight such important factors of working practice that contribute to the development of emotional burnout in rhythmic gymnastics coaches as high professional workload, stressful interaction with parents of young female athletes, including during off-work time. The combination of these factors may lead to the early development of emotional burnout of these specialists and other negative effects, including a decrease in their direct professional success.
