Objective of the study was to analyze the peculiarities of formation of personal culture of servicemen aimed to ensure their social comfort through physical recreation.
Methods of the study. For the study purposes, we applied the method of theoretical analysis.
Results of the study and conclusions. Physical recreation as a form of leisure activity that organically combines physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural development of the individual is becoming a top-priority direction nowadays. This formally unregulated leisure activity makes a person feel free from rigidly standardized curricula and programs, household duties and involves him in such socio-psychological and culturological experiences that maximize self-realization of his creative potential. The authors emphasize that physical training and physical recreation not only contribute to the successful formation of knowledge, skills, and abilities (they act as a means of physical education to achieve its main objectives) but also develop personal physical culture and subsequently ensure a person's social comfort. This innovative approach to the physical training of military personnel contributes to the effective implementation of the program and fulfillment of the regulatory requirements in the field of applied professional physical training based on the stable functional and mental state of a serviceman.
