Objective of the study was to substantiate the structure and content of judo training of preschool children.
Methods and structure of the study. The laboratory experiment to determine the availability of judo training means and methods for preschool children aged 3-6 years was conducted in 2019 at the premises of Sochi kindergartens. Sampled for the study were 10 trainers and over 150 children. During the study, we applied the theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, classification, ranking), structural-functional and system approaches, as well as a questionnaire survey of trainers.
Results of the study and conclusions. We analyzed the judo training means and methods given the age characteristics and physical fitness level of the 3-6 year-old children. We described the main types of exercises, their content and pedagogical tasks solved during the training sessions. The training means for the preschool children aged 3 (4), 4 (5), and 5 (6) years were systematized. The proposed exercises were tested and can be recommended for trainers to use during the training sessions with preschoolers.
Different groups of exercises are used to teach preschool children the basics of martial arts: positions, posts, movements, turns, sit-outs, ukemi, exercises with a partner, balance exercises.

Keywords: judo, preschoolers, exercises, technique, methodology.
