Objective of the study was to improve the level of physical fitness of 5th-grade students through the integrated approach to the formation of their ideas about motor actions.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was carried out on the basis of the municipal educational institution - the lyceum of Elektrogorsk, Moscow region. Sampled for the experiment were 49 5th graders divided into the Control and Experimental Groups. The Control group subjects were trained according to the traditional method, while the Experimental group ones - according to the developed method with the use of the maximum available load. The integrated approach was ensured by the inclusion of targeted, well-defined methodologies of formation of schoolchildren's ideas about motor actions during the physical education lessons.
Results and conclusions. The practical significance of the experiment is reflected in the improvement of the following complex indicators among schoolchildren: technical fitness, physical fitness, conscious individual self-regulation of behavior, socially significant personal qualities, semantics of emotional state. The authors conclude that the expedient use of the selected original methods, the developed exercise series with allowances made for the age peculiarities and individual characteristics of schoolchildren, contribute to their effective competitive activity, increase of their interest in physical education and sports activities. The findings can be used by teachers, coaches in different sports at all stages of sports training, experts in the field of physical education and sports.
