The given study was designed to explore the role of proactive reflection ability for the image building and control process in kickboxing trainings. The study sample was split up into Reference Group and Experimental Group for the proactive reflection ability development model testing experiment to analyze the proactive reflection ability role in the kickboxing technical skills set. It was found that proactive reflection ability are particularly beneficial for some training exercises in kickboxing since the efforts to activate and employ the secondary signal connections help mobilize the past motor experience to model frame image of the movement sequence and prioritize the necessary and sort out the unnecessary actions prior to practical execution. Positive impacts of proactive reflection ability on the skill mastering process are equally important for the skill maintenance aspects. It should be noted that efficiency of the kickboxing practices driven by secondary signal connections depends on the trainees’ body types, and this fact shall be taken into account in the individual training system design.
