Socio-pedagogical analysis of physical education and sport service to female students at medical university

Modern academic studies are highly demanding to the individual physical and mental fitness and, hence, associated with the potential health risks as verified by the university health statistics and academic progress analyses. The study analyzes the academic physical education and sport service effects on female students at medical university – in view of the reported negative influences of the high-intensity academic studies on their health and physical fitness standards.
The authors made a socio-pedagogic analysis of the physical education and sport service to female students at medical university to find solutions for the above issues. Sampled for the study were the 1-2-year female students of Krasnoyarsk State Medical University (n=150). The physical education and sport service quality was rated by a questionnaire survey, interviews, academic progress tests etc.
