Sports technique key elements in phase structure of connecting moves of acrobatic exercises performed on a beam

Objective of the research was to study the kinematic structure of the key element indices of sports technique connecting move of acrobatic exercises round-off – double salto backward tucked performed during beam dismount; to distinguish sports technique key elements in the phase structure of exercise connecting move. The study involved skilled and highly skilled female gymnasts (n = 16). The connecting move of acrobatic exercises round-off – double salto backward tucked performed during beam dismount was recorded by two digital video cameras with shooting speed of 240 frames per second. Kinematic structure and indices of sports technique key elements were revealed in the phases of the connecting move of acrobatic exercises round-off – double salto backward tucked performed during beam dismount: body launching posture – vertical body posture in narrow straddle stand on a beam on tiptoe with one leg in front of the other, slightly closed body position in front of the vertical, with arms fore-upward, for efficient upward-backward flying up; the curves of resultant velocities of the body biolinks are gathered in a “bundle”, which allows technically precise entering the main phase of exercise connecting move; in the main phase - multiplication of body postures “tucked” – active successive alternating instant fixed postures on the ascending segment of flight trajectory to provide uninterruptible “entering” the second salto; concluding body posture – stable landing. Sports technique key elements are the signal postures of motor actions, which combine the indices of phase structure of the connecting move of acrobatic exercises round-off – double salto backward tucked performed during beam dismount through the interaction of previous and subsequent body postures and their multiplications. Performance of exercises without unnecessary motor rearrangements is achieved.
