Education tests to qualify students for streetball practices

The study gives an account of the education tests to qualify students for competitive streetball practices at university. An educational experiment under the study was geared to work out an efficient set of tests to qualify students for the group competitive streetball practices. Sampled for the study were the first-year students (n=70) of M.F. Reshetnev’s SSUST in Krasnoyarsk city split up into an Experimental (EG, n=40) and Reference (RG, n=30) Groups. Prior to the experiment, the sample was tested to qualify prospects for the group competitive streetball practices. Findings of the educational experiment were indicative of the prior qualification tests being highly efficient as verified by the fast progress of the prospects in the beginner streetball trainings. The students who failed in the selection tests and were qualified with the RG showed significantly lower progress in their beginner streetball trainings.
