Coaches’ professional performance is basically determined by their statuses formed by the academic training process. The article considers the coaches’ professional performances determined by the social and educational competency building aspects as a basis for the top professionalism in the vocational sport activity. We came to the conclusion that some groups of coaches are at least under-informed on the living agendas of their trainees albeit due knowledge of the trainees’ life values and predispositions is commonly known to be one of the key factors for success in an educational/ coaching process.
Considering the junior category of coaches, it should be noted that the closer are their approaches to that of the top qualified coaches, the more serious are normally their backgrounds in the psychological domain versus the more experienced albeit less interested and determined senior colleagues.
The study also demonstrated clear differences in the attitudes to sport competitions, with the relevant rates of the top-qualified coaches in the “self-improvement” and “competitive spirit” domains being virtually 1.5 times higher than those of the other groups, and this is indicative of the high importance of the relevant analyses.
