As far as movement plasticity is concerned, it has always been a top priority in the women’s aspirations as emphasized by many specialists in the arts of movement with music illustrations. However, modern sport is still in need of the studies to explore the sport history in the context of variations in the movement contents, difficulty levels, techniques, expressivity rates, artistic merits and apparatus manipulations by competitors. The study gives an overview of the historical progress of rhythmic gymnastics with its development stages, movement rhythm and plasticity evolution in a wide range from the local competitions to Olympics, with a special emphasis on the movement culture development from the primitive forms to the modern sport excellence stage, with the movement contents forming sequence with the growing difficulty levels in the gymnastic exercise performance. The study has identified a few historical fundamentals of importance for further progress of rhythmic gymnastics as verified by practical accomplishments in different stages of the sport establishment and progress.
