Key words: sports psychology, football, endurance and stamina, firm motivation.
It is worth particular attention of sports psychologists and serious correctional work to identify the reasons why young athletes who have shown great promise in youth football, lose motivation, stop in their development, cease to be demanding of themselves and eventually quit playing football at all. Only approximately 1% of the graduates of football schools continue in professional sport, most of them end up the same, and stop playing by the age of 18. Although many of them may show themselves later, only by the age of 22-23 years, so one of the tasks of sports executives is to prolong their football training for at least five or six years.
The motivation to sports training is associated with many mental characteristics, including endurance and stamina. The present study was conducted to determine the possible association of endurance and stamina and firm motivation to playing football.
