Infographics as a social project to promote physical culture and sport among young people

Media are considered in the paper as a special kind of social activity and an effective tool for influencing public consciousness. Currently the Internet is the main social communication, the influence of which is increasing every year, rising enthusiasm of youth with social networks.
The purpose of the work was to identify the most effective ways of advertising and promoting physical education and sports classes via media.
There were presented the results of the survey of students, in which the most preferred modern way of presentation of information to young people – infographics, were detected. Infographics is a promising kind of graphic design, widely used in electronic journals for presentation of the subject area of sport. The experience of the contest for design and construction of the best infographics project among students of the physical culture university was described as the main result. The organization and conduct of the sports infographics contest of young people was proposed as a topic for discussion.
