Introduction. Training of competitive specialists is the goal of the modern vocational training system (L.M. Nikitina, V.I. Novikov, D.V. Chernilevsky, V.I. Shapovalov et al.). In turn, individual competitiveness of a single person is determined by internal physical, social and psychological factors (V.I. Andreev, E.A. Klimov, V.A. Oganesov, J. Raven, R.A. Fatkhutdinov et al.).

Physical determinants of competitiveness of an individual are physical working capacity, physical activity, good health, appearance, etc (E.A. Galuzo, A.A. Gernichenko, R.A. Fatkhutdinov et al.). They are achieved owing to a healthy lifestyle, an optimal motor mode, regular physical education and sports classes, that is, by conscious and active development of the values of physical culture in the cognitive, motivational and activity aspects.

In addition to some abilities (for leadership and teamwork, organization and self-organization, etc.) and traits (mobility, activity, creativity, risk appetite etc.) socio-psychological factors of competitiveness include such indicators as: cognitive activity, positive self-attitude and self-acceptance, emotional stability, psychological freedom, focus on success, communication skills and an ability to compromise, tolerance, indulgence etc. (V.I. Andreev, N.V. Borisova, E.A. Galuzo, V.N. Mezinov, V.N. Shuvalov et al.).

The indicators of physical, social and psychological health occupy an important place among the internal factors of competitiveness of an individual. The phenomenon of competition is characterized by competitiveness, strive for leadership, the need to act in a risky and uncertain environment that is often detrimental to the health of participants of competitive interactions and reduces their competitiveness in the future. Therefore, purposeful supportive and developmental stimulation of the above-mentioned internal factors when teaching will ensure the preservation and improvement of subjects' health and contribute to training of competitive specialists.

Since personality is an integral multiple-factor system, it is clear that socio-psychological determinants of health greatly depend on its physical component. Thus, individual physical training provides the competitiveness of an individual both directly - by contributing to the formation and maintenance of optimal physical fitness, health, etc., and indirectly - as a factor in obtaining social and psychological health.

On the other hand, the content of education (general and vocational) serves as an important condition for the formation, development and improvement of competitiveness of an individual. The education in the field of physical culture and sports provides value and active attitude to personal physical health, formation of healthy lifestyle motives and skills, both directly and indirectly contributes to the protection and improvement of sociopsychological health. Thus, it stands as a theoretical and methodological basis of the formation of numerous important qualities and characteristics of an individual, providing personal competitiveness. In this regard, it's important to study the factors, conditions and mechanisms of competitiveness formation among Russian citizens by ensuring their physical, social and psychological health. There are theoretical prerequisites and practical necessity for the creation of conditions of competitive personality development for future specialists via the formation of health-protecting educational university environment. Thus, the structure and content of competitiveness as a personality trait is studied in the framework of sociological (J. Raven, S.I. Rozum et al.) and psycho-pedagogical (V.I. Andreev, N.V. Borisova, E.A. Klimov, L.M. Mitina, F.R. Tuktarov, A.V. Khutorskoy, D.V. Chernilevsky, V.I. Shapovalov, et al.) ranges of problems. Certain personal characteristics that contribute to its competitiveness were studied by A. Maslow and Carl Rogers (self-actualization, self-affirmation ability), R. Alberti, E. Medibruda, V. Capponi, T. Novak, M. Emmons (self-assertion skill, self-asserting behavior), V.F. Birkenbil (life success), N.B. Stambulova (factors in sports career development), and others. We have not detected any studies related to the justification of the indicators of physical, social and psychological health of an individual as the factors (determinants) of his competitiveness.

Health and healthy lifestyle are popular and important areas of current research. Thus, the issues of protection and strengthening of physical health of a person were investigated by V.K. Balsevich, L.I. Lubysheva, N.Kh. Khakunov and others. The essence, content, and indicators of healthy lifestyle, motor activity as a part of it can be found in the works of N.P. Abaskalova, R.I. Aizman, N.M. Amosov, V.K. Bal’sevich, E.N. Vavilova, G.V. Zhulina, A.A. Loginov, L.I. Lubysheva, R.E. Motylyanskaya, A.Ya. Khanzhieva, K.D. Chermit et al., I.N. Gurevich investigates social health as a phenomenon, and value of public life; L.V. Bulygina, A.A. Kovaleva, M.A. Medinskaya, L.I. Fortunatova et al. determine the essence and investigate the indicators and criteria of social health of individuals. Psychological problems of human health are disclosed from various scientific points of view in the works of V.A. Anan’ev, S. Buller, K. Goldstein, A. Maslow, C. Rogers, V. Frankl et al. The concepts of mental health of an individual and sets of its criteria are defined in the studies of O.M. Blandinskaya, S.A. Druzhilova, I.V. Dubrovina, M.G. Ivanova, A.V. Klochko, O.M. Krasnoryadtseva, A.V. Shuvalova et al. The interrelations of physical, social and psychological health of an individual have been developed insufficiently so far.

The modern concepts and technologies of health protection educational environment of an educational institution are represented in research of V.P. Luk’yanenko, V.N. Kurys’, K.D. Chermit et al. The issues of competitiveness of an individual in the educational system with varying degrees of completeness and specificity can be found in the pedagogical studies of V.S. Bezrukova, L.A. Emel'yanova, I.M. Il’kovskaya, V.A. Oganesov, N.N. Sidorova, V.I. Shapovalov, A.I. Scherbakov and other scientists. However, we have not found any materials covering the theory and practice of designing the competition inducing health-protecting university environment.

As seen from the results of theoretical analysis of modern science, the studies in the following areas are underrepresented: the interrelation and interdependence of physical, social and psychological health of an individual; the effect of physical health on personal competitiveness; the influence of characteristics of social and psychological health on personal competitiveness; the development of educational content that provides integrated protection and promotion of health and formation of competitiveness of the subjects of education.

So, the urgent issues in the theory of physical education are the development and substantiation of diagnostic and methodological tools for formation of competitiveness of an individual by creating the educational environment that ensures the protection and improvement of physical, social and psychological health of the subjects of education. The purpose of the proposed research is to develop a model of university educational environment, which will ensure the competitiveness of future professionals by using resources of physical, social and psychological health.

The results of solving these issues should be the following:

  • the technique for diagnostics of physical, social and psychological health of individuals within the educational environment;
  • the technique for diagnostics of competitiveness of the subjects of education;
  • the technique of studying the interrelation of health and competitiveness of the subjects of education;
  • the technique of studying the impact of educational environment on health of the subjects of education;
  • the technique of studying the effect of educational environment on competitiveness of the subjects of education;
  • the quality characteristics of the indicators of educational environment (including teaching methodologies and techniques, optional and elective courses and training and consulting) that ensure health protection and competitiveness of the subjects of education;
  • the model of an educational environment which ensures health protection and competitiveness of the subjects of education;

Conclusions. The scholarly importance of the expected results of these theoretical and empirical studies is that they will provide new knowledge about the conditions, factors, means and methods of optimization of the educational process, the content of education in the field of physical culture and sports (basic, general and professional) in the context of formation and development of competitiveness of the subjects of education by ensuring their physical, social and psychological health. Their use in the vocational training system will improve the competitiveness of specialists and as a result - enhance the competitiveness of organizations, enterprises and professional spheres.
