Abstract

Objective of the study is to analyze the progress of the GTO race stages by the participants of the winning team. Methods and structure of the study. The study was conducted during the All-Russian festival of the All-Russian Fitness and Sports Complex ‘Ready for Labour and Defence’ among labour collectives, state civil servants of the Russian Federation and municipal employees in June 2026 in the city of Noyabrsk. Video recording of the completion of the race (relay) of the GTO was carried out by the team of the Belgorod State National Research University. Subsequently, using video recording and timing, the speed at which each participant completed the stages of the GTO race (relay) was determined. Results and conclusions. The GTO race (relay) is a team functional relay. This form of implementing the festival within the framework of the All-Russian Functional Sport Complex GTO can also be used in training as an effective means of developing physical fitness and functional training. However, it is necessary to take into account that this form of activity places high demands on the state of the body’s functional systems.
