Abstract

Objective of the study is to study the possibilities of pedagogical counselling as a means of forming social identity, encompassing all aspects of the life activity of young athletes. Methods and structure of the study. Pedagogical counselling included educational events of a prophylactic orientation, contributing to the formation of skills of overcoming difficulties on the basis of the activation of the internal potential of the athletes for solving problematic questions connected with certain transitions and changes in the multi-year athletic preparation. Results and conclusions. Pedagogical counselling, conducted on the basis of the evolutionary and integrative approaches, is an instrument of the support of the dual career of an athlete, making it possible to build and realise the optimal format of full-fledged sports-training activity in interaction with other spheres of life activity.
