Abstract

Objective of the study is the development and experimental verification of a methodology of the upbringing of collectivism in young men aged 12-15 in the process of practising army hand-to-hand combat. Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work was conducted in the period from September 2023 to April 2026. At the first stage (September 2023 – August 2024), activity was organised for the development of a structural-logical scheme and the substantiation of the means, forms and methods comprising the methodology, as well as of the psychological-pedagogical conditions of its effectiveness. Results and conclusions. The methodology, built on the activity approach and including three interconnected stages – formation, development and flourishing – ensured a significant growth of the indicators of group cohesion, of the psychological atmosphere in the collective and of the level of collectivism in the experimental groups in comparison with the control ones. The achievement of a common significant result – the passing of the standards for the gold GTO badge – acted as a system-forming factor that united the participants and made it possible to transform the joint training activity into a stable collective value.
