Abstract

Objective of the study is to assess the influence of football classes on the physical development of young football players. Methods and structure of the study. 23 first-year male students of youth age, divided into a control group (n=11) and an experimental group (n=12), took part in the scientific work. The duration of the study was 36 months. In the experimental group, regular football training was conducted 3 times a week. The assessment of the indicators was carried out twice, before the beginning of the study and after 36 months. Standard functional tests were used. The statistical processing of the results was performed with the application of the Student’s t-test. Results and conclusions. In the experimental group, a reliable improvement of the indicators of physical development, connected with an increase in endurance, speed qualities and the functional capabilities of the organism, was revealed. In the control group no pronounced dynamics of the indicators was noted. It is clear that long-term regular football classes exert a very pronounced stimulating influence on the physical development of male students.
