Problem of the stress resistance of ice hockey players: a theoretical review

Abstract
Objective of the study is the identification of the factors determining the stress resistance of ice hockey players at different levels of sporting mastery. Methods and structure of the study. In the course of the scientific work, a theoretical review of domestic and foreign sources on the topic, placed in the elibrary and Google Scholar databases for the period from 2019 to 2025, was conducted. Results and conclusions. Three groups of stress-generating factors were singled out: social, psychological and physiological, the influence of which is considered depending on the level of qualification of the athletes and the stage of athletic preparation. Three levels of qualification were determined, including: the stage of sports specialisation, the stage of sports mastery perfection and the stage of higher sports mastery. In addition, the work provides recommendations on the prophylaxis and correction of manifestations of stress in athletes depending on the stage of athletic preparation.
