Pedagogical possibilities of using a microfootball in physical education of students

Objective of the study: to determine the pedagogical potential of using micro-futsal in physical education classes at a university.
Methodology and organization of the study. The study involved 30 first- and second-year students, divided into experimental and control groups of 15 people each. Over an 8-week period, the students in the experimental group attended classes twice a week following a program that included micro-futsal elements, while the control group followed a traditional physical education program. Class attendance, interest in the classes (evaluated on a 10-point scale), and the results of the 3×10 m shuttle run were assessed.
Results of the study and their discussion. Before the experiment, the differences between the groups in the studied indicators were insignificant. Upon completion of the eight-week cycle, the students in the experimental group showed more pronounced positive changes. Class attendance increased from 79.3% to 91.4%, whereas in the control group it changed insignificantly – from 80.1% to 83.2%. The level of interest in the classes in the experimental group increased from 6.2±0.4 to 8.3±0.3 points (p<0.05), while in the control group it increased from 6.1±0.5 to 6.8±0.4 points (p≥0.05). The results of the 3×10 m shuttle run in the experimental group improved from 8.52±0.18 to 8.14±0.16 s (p<0.05), whereas in the control group the changes were less pronounced – from 8.49±0.17 to 8.36±0.15 s (p≥0.05).
The obtained data show that micro-futsal has significant pedagogical potential in the university physical education system. A small playing area, high frequency of interaction with the ball, constant change of game situations, and the participation of all students in both attack and defense ensure high motor density of the classes and maintain interest in them. Compared to traditional forms of classes, micro-futsal creates a more dynamic environment that promotes the development of coordination, speed, and engagement in motor activity.
Conclusion. The use of micro-futsal in physical education classes at a university expands the pedagogical possibilities of the educational process, increases students' interest in the classes, and contributes to the improvement of coordination preparedness. Micro-futsal can be considered an effective means of updating the content of physical education in higher education institutions.
