Abstract

Objective of the study is the identification and formalisation of the main reference points in the priority elements of rhythmic gymnastics. Methods and structure of the study. In the course of the work, an analysis of the competitive programmes of highly qualified female gymnasts (the ‘seniors’ category) was conducted on the basis of the video recordings of the ‘Russian Cup’ of 2025 (50 performances, 12 female athletes) using the Kinovea programme. Results and conclusions. As a result of the study, priority elements were singled out from each group among the elements of body difficulty on the basis of the analysis of competitive programmes in rhythmic gymnastics. For each of them, 3-6 main reference points were singled out and formalised from the positions of biomechanics and pedagogy, and static positional models expressed through angular and spatial parameters were constructed. Pedagogical recommendations on the use of the main reference points for the construction of the orienting basis of action and the correction of technical errors were formulated.
