Abstract
Objective of the study is the theoretical substantiation and experimental verification of the effectiveness of a model of the methodology of preparing young athletes in cheer sport, developed on the basis of a convergent approach. Methods and structure of the study. The methods of analysis and generalisation of the scientific-methodological literature, a pedagogical experiment and methods of mathematical statistics were used in the scientific work. The developed model was tested in the training process of athletes engaged in cheer sport at the Ural School of Sports Cheerleading. Results and conclusions. The results of the pedagogical experiment demonstrated a statistically significant improvement of the indicators of the experimental group in comparison with the control group. The application of the model ensured a pronounced increase in coordination and strength abilities, an improvement in the quality of mastering new motor material and a significant improvement in performance mastery. The obtained data have important applied significance, offering coaches scientifically substantiated tools for optimising the training process through the synchronous integration of diverse components of preparation. The results of the study can be used in the preparation of athletes of various qualifications, as well as adapted for other complex-coordination sports.
